Sr. Web Developer

Drexel eLearning, Inc.

Sr. Developer

The Sr. Web Developer is responsible for the overall technical quality of DeL's websites, frameworks, and core technologies. This role is part of the development team responsible for the programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of other enterprise .NET applications, databases, and data marts.

  • Develop applications, portals, and components utilizing .NET, ASP, C#, JavaScript, XML, XSL, and other Web-oriented languages.
  • Design and implement databases to support applications, portlets, and components.
  • Develop detailed proof-of-concept prototypes, wireframes, and design specifications that capture process flows and all user interaction points with the system.
  • Web services development using .NET technologies to support a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath and both server and client-side XMLHTTP capabilities.
  • Design and program interactive media applications using Flash and ActionScript.
  • Researches, analyzes, recommends, and implements new technologies, standard processes, tools and techniques.
  • Produce highly accurate technical documentation and other specifications required to implement and support new and existing applications and their interfaces.
  • Responsible for participation in departmental and corporate programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services and applications, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Operations.
  • Contribute to usability testing efforts, from developing test plans, as well as evaluating the results and incorporating feedback into the design.
  • Perform special tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle and worked on all SDLC stages

Marketing Manager

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing Drexel University Online's in-house Lead Generation Team of 5 marketers and will spearhead all direct-to-consumer lead generation activities. This position is responsible for efficiently and effectively utilizing a significant media budget to drive targeted visitors to Drexel Online's website and ultimately through to enrollment.

The lead generation team handles media planning and buying; manages the advertising process, including both the execution and evaluation of various consumer marketing activities; works closely with creative resources (copy, design, etc.) to meet advertising deadlines; maintains accurate information on our website, including updating the website to reflect new programs; and conducts target audience and competitive research.

This is an important full-time position, housed in the marketing department, and reports to the Director of Marketing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the Lead Generation Team, including all supervisory responsibilities.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for the Lead Generation team, which includes successfully resolving the day to day issues that arise in a fast paced environment with significant budget responsibility. This team is primarily focused on media planning and buying: direct-to-consumer marketing with a heavy emphasis on online marketing (solo emails, banners, eNewsletters, search, etc.) as well as traditional direct response and mass media, such as print, direct mail, out of home, public relations, etc.
  • Manage the advertising process: work with a cross-functional team to project manage the advertising process from media buying through to finished ad creative, including briefing the creative team, routing & approval of artwork that meets deadlines, vendor coordination, etc.
  • Maintain and enhance productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, various Drexel University colleges, web/technology team, etc.
  • Develop and manage the annual Lead Generation Team's marketing budget, including working with the accounting team to reconcile the budget on a monthly basis.
  • Reporting and analysis, including the ability to understand what is driving business results and identify and execute contigency plans, as needed.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related area. MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of related consumer marketing experience (significant online marketing experience in a direct-to-consumer marketing department strongly preferred). Must be proficient in buying, planning and executing advertising across a wide range of direct to consumer marketing vehicles such as search, email marketing, e-newsletters, pay per lead, web banners, public relations, print, radio, transit, etc.
  • Prior responsibility for managing a significant marketing budget.
  • Experience in managing direct reports with at least two years managerial experience managing at least three direct reports at a time. A passion for mentoring would be a plus.
  • Experienced in influencing a brand's creative strategy and driving that strategy through to execution. Experience should including leading creative resources in the development and execution of multi-media ad campaigns that are consistent with the brand's creative strategy.
  • Extreme attention to detail, organization, and follow-up is critical for success. This is a hands-on position, where a command of the details is critical.
  • Passion for marketing, advertising and driving results.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including a tactful and professional manner. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and an "ownership" mentality, including an innate desire to learn new skills, explore industry trends, analyze data, etc. A team player willing to do whatever it takes to drive results.
  • Technologically proficient, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and experienced with analytics/tracking/reporting software. Able to rapidly come up to speed on DeL's internal reporting systems.
  • Experience with content management system, a plus

Business Development Representative

Reports To: Senior Business Development Manager

Summary: Manages assigned small to mid-sized partner accounts to increase account penetration as well as enrollments on a quarterly basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage Drexel eLearning's health system, corporate, education, and association partner accounts with 5,000+ employees or members.
  • Develop and execute enrollment strategies for local, regional, and national partners.
  • Interface with senior level decision makers within assigned partners to increase account penetration to generate enrollments.
  • Deliver sales presentations to decision makers as well as employees within assigned customer base.
  • Coordinate visits and marketing activity to assigned partners monthly.
  • Build and maintain external client relationships.
  • Act as corporate liaison between assigned partners and Drexel e-Learning, Inc. (DeL).
  • Attend annual meetings, trade shows, conferences and on-site client visits to increase brand awareness within partner accounts.
  • Uncover and identify new business opportunities for partner educational initiatives.
  • Develop enrollment forecasts quarterly for assigned partner accounts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university, preferably in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • 2 to 3 years of professional account management and sales experience

Computer Skills:
